The vice mayor for finance and economic development in Nyamasheke district was on Wednesday the 6th.Feb.2013 visiting the local people of Kanjongo sector in the good governance month program.

The good governance program is nurturing many projects including leaders coming down to the people in their area and solving their problems and explaining to people all about good governance.
“You should be able to solve your problems and of your neighbours because you know their cause and you can give a valid judgment to such problems” Charles Bahizi telling Kanjongo sector residents.
Charles Bahizisaid a family is made up of a wife, husband, children and neighbours and for the better community, neighbours should not be afraid of interfering and solving a family conflict.
He however admitted that there are problems that no longer need interference of neighbours but the law has to step in and solve them.
Local people were advised to always accept the judgment given in a problem according to the expectations of law even if it is not what they were expecting.
They were told not to base their judgments on emotions and to always know that in an argument, one of the two parties is wrong and even the right one sometimes exaggerate to make their case more valid.
In a general assembly for people and their leaders in Kanjongo sector in Nyamasheke district many problems and issues were solved others were oriented to levels that will solve them.
Issues based on conflicts and misunderstandings were solved, the people in wrong asked for forgiveness and local people were guided on how to solve such issues without consulting their leaders.
